On each artist's website you will find a place to vote for the artist of the month. Once a month, you can choose the artist which will be presentend in the gallery on the main page of Polish Art Tomorrow site.
Art as a form of expression and a tool to explore reality is a perfect area for artistic reflection on the cultural grounding of a contemporary human-being. It cannot be limited in any way, neither by institutions, nor by authority.
The platform is composed of a team of experts who are appointed by galleries and other organisations affiliated with the Polska Biennale agreement. Its interest lies in examining local contemporary art assets. Particular members of the team that are responsible for bringing to light the most interesting artistic attitudes in their art communities. They are also responsible for defining the place of those individuals in the art scene. The Polish Art Tomorrow platform is a non-profit organisation based on the democratic rules of an organisation. The list of organisations and institutions is not closed. New institutions are welcome to sign-up. Present members may at any time update their list of interesting artists.
The process of collecting the information described above will allow to create a map of Polish creative thought development. It is hoped to suggest certain re-definitions. The results of the research are meant to be presented during regular Polish Art Tomorrow exhibitions, which shall happen within the next few years in distinguished Polish and international galleries. The first exhibition of the Polish Art Tomorrow series is an exhibition entitled The Limits of Globalisation. It will be presented at the Zamek Culture Centre in Poznan during 4th Mediations Biennale, which is the largest art event in Central Europe.
Polish Art Tomorrow may be perceived as an attempt to objectivise and propagate knowledge about Polish contemporary art through the use of a database of artists [www.arttomorrow.pl].
The database, which is a compendium of knowledge for curators from Poland and abroad, delivers information about Polish artists making their debut after 2000. It has over 200 different artists and it is constantly being expanded.
